Rite Aid "Customer Service" Issue
Late last night, at approximately 12:15 am Sunday, July 26, 2009, I went into Rite Aid Store # 4889 at 2551 Broadway between 95th & 96th to have a Rx filled for my dog.
The customer service was atrocious!!! That's just putting it mildly. First, Sean F., the man behind the counter, stood there looking blankly into space instead of calling for the next customer which was me. I decided not to wait any longer and walked up to the counter.
I needed to wait for the Rx as my dog is ill and needed the med right away. He didn't volunteer how long the Rx would take to fill or take the time to communicate with me in any way other than to tell to fill out the info on the outside of the bag that he put my Rx in. So I asked if I should come back in 15 minutes. He said "yeah, come back in 15 minutes, we're very busy."
I gave it a half hour while I browsed through the store. When I went back to the pharmacy both Sean F. and the pharmacist were NOT behind the counter but were instead sitting in the chairs designated for customers waiting for prescriptions. Again I HAD to ask THEM for help since neither of them wanted to get up and see if I needed any assistance. Sean F. was too busy playing with his cell phone.
The asian pharmacist actually got back behind the counter first and asked me what I was there for - not very coherently either. I informed him that I just dropped off a Rx for my dog and my last name was Larkin. He made a face like it wasn't ringing a bell and went to check. When he came back he said, "The Rx needs to be ordered and will not be available until Monday."
Now I was angry and told the pharmacist that "It would have been nice if you or someone called me to give me that information since I was told to come back in 15 minutes." I could have taken my Rx to any number of other 24 hour pharmacies located in the nieghborhood. No response. I guess I was wrong for speaking up and ASKING for a common courtesy most pharmacies provide without prompting.
I told the pharmacist I would take my Rx to another pharmacy and asked Sean F. to ring up the items that I had browsed for purchase while waiting for my Rx to be filled. He asked if I had a club card which I said that I had but it wasn't with me. I had a $5.00 off coupon which I wanted to use (for non-pharmacy) items and he said he couldn't honor it because I did not have my Rite Aid card.
I asked him to either scan the receipt or look it up by my telephone number. He said, "that's not the way it works." I know for a fact that this is something that is easily done and rather than argue with this arrogant, lazy man who was playing with his cell phone I asked to see the manager immediately.
Then I said "do you think this is good customer service?" He said "that's the way it is!" I said "Oh really, Sean F.?" He said "that's my name and held his badge in my face proudly." So I said "do you think that corporate office would like to hear that your idea of good customer service is to tell a customer "that's the way it is while you're texting on your cell phone? Do you think the corporate office would like to hear that you didn't call the customer to tell them the Rx would not be ready but were instead sitting down on the job, playing with your cell phone and not offering to help the customer?" He got flustered and angry and said he had to excuse himself and went outside.
When the manager, Lee, FINALLY came up and I explained the horrible customer service experience I just had to him, he really was not interested in discussing it. He rang my items up and gave me my $5.00 discount and wanted to focus on that discount. I said "this is not really about my $5.00 discount. It's about customer service. I would have appreciated a phone call to let me know my Rx would not be ready so I could go to another pharmacy and fill it for my sick dog."
Again no response, I'm not even really sure if Lee, the manager, apologized to me. I told him that Sean F. was standing outside bad-mouthing me to someone so loudly that I could hear him inside the store. Still no response from Lee the manager.
I said "okay well clearly your not interested in discussing this so I will take it up with the corporate office."
I was angry and also concerned that Sean F. was going to retaliate physically as he was indicating to someone outside while he was badmouthing me in other ways.

His eyes . . .
One glance and I knew by his eyes that he was intoxicated.
They were yellowish-green and looked infected, rotten, sick.
I would not look into them again for fear I would be cursed somehow.
He scared me!

Robert Pattinson gets lippy with male co-star in Little Ashes.
15:07, Friday, 8 May 2009
British actor Robert Pattinson, who plays the dark and twisted Edward Cullen in Twilight, will leave his fans shocked as he re-enacts a gay love scene for his upcoming film Little Ashes.
Instead of falling for a young beautiful girl in high school, Pattinson plays the Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, whose main on-screen romance is with writer Federico García Lorca.
In an interview with The New York Daily News Pattinson revealed he was nervous about filming the love scenes with Javier, though after watching them he was glad the way the scenes turned out.
"It was hard to watch my first scene, in which I turn up in this funny little hat,
"I was worried about watching them, but Dalí and Lorca's sex scenes were in fact the best scenes,”
Little Ashes is released in the UK from the 8th of May.

[MARC FOSTER] Male, African American, Early-Late 30s; Calm and cool under pressure yet devious and maniacal behind his unassuming demeanor, with an inner blinding rage. He has fallen a long way from his former job on Wall St. Mark is beyond misogynistic, with an unapologetic hatred for women. He doesn’t see them as women, more as objects for his amusement, using rape and violence as ways to punish them. At first he proclaims his innocence with bravado, but when our detectives have indisputable evidence, he sings about all his many brutal crimes without remorse or shame. Jail seems too good a deal for this criminal, so when he falls to his death no one sheds too many tears. (GUEST STAR)
[RENA WEST] Female, Caucasian; Mid 20s-Mid 30s, Fragile; jittery; feisty, frightened; broken and devastated rape victim. Rena is found beaten and bloody, roaming the streets in a bedsheet. She is hysterical but develops an attachment to the investigating detective and will speak with no one but him. Though she has been reduced to the mental state of a scared child, she is responsive to the detective’s tough love, and learns to take responsibility and control of her life back by putting away the man who destroyed hers. (GUEST STAR)
[BEVERLY NEAL] Female, African American; 30s; A former prostitute street crawler turned Professional Court Reporter. After she was beaten and raped by a "John" 10 years earlier she got her act together; went to school and turned her life around. When our Detectives confront her regarding her secret past asking for help in ID’ing her rapist her past threatens to come back and haunt her. (Two Scenes sptv050769, 10 Lines)
[KATIE CORLEY] Female, Caucasian; Mid 30s-Early 40s; The large scar across her cheek is a gruesome reminder of her rape 10 years ago. Trying to move on with her life, she has started to gain back her confidence and her old life when detectives return to inform her they may have put away the wrong guy for her rape. Shocked and unbelieving when hearing this news, she lashes out at our detectives for questioning her credibility as an eyewitness to her own rape. When it turns out they are right, it is almost too much for Katie to handle. (Two Scenes, 10 Lines)

[MALCOLM FOSTER] Male, African American; Late 60s-70s; blue collar; Ailing father of our rapist Mark Foster. He sees Mark as a disappointment, but even feeling that, he fears for the life of his son. (One Scene, 8-10 Lines)
[GAIL FOSTER] Female, African American; Late 20s-Mid 30s, Crack head former battered wife of our rapist Marc Foster. Jittery and glassy eyed, her many years of crack use is clearly evident in her appearance as well as her attitude and mannerisms. [DEBBIE LUPINO] Female, Caucasian; 15-16yrs; Grief stricken friend of our rape and murder victim; the girls had planned a night of pot smoking; drinking; and making out with boys but certainly never considered a beer run would end in rape and murder. (1 Scene, 7 Lines)

(1 Scene, 5 Lines)
[SHANE CORLEY] Male, Caucasian; Late 30s to Mid 40s. Husband of former rape victim Katie Corley. Protective and hard working, he is her rock. Shane is understandably upset when police come to drudge up this very traumatizing experience. (1 Scene 2 Lines)

[CAMERAMAN] Male, Any Ethnicity; Early 30s-Mid 40s. Nosey, after-the-scoop cameraman who follows Nate Kendall down a dark alley, and he’s lucky he comes out alive. (1 Scene, 1 Line)
[SHIT CAN] Male, Caucasian; Late 20-Late 30s; Meth head to the max, jittery, borderline psychotic is sitting in a cop car with a gun in his mouth after killing his 3 month old daughter agonizing over whether he should kill himself. Lucky for him, the gun isn’t loaded…and lest we forget he shits himself – hence his character name. (Teaser, Non Speaking)
[MADDIE FOSTER] Female, African American; 6 yrs; Malnourished, filthy, neglected daughter of Mark and Gail Foster. She's been living in fear with her crack-head mother and the stakes get raised when our Detectives bash down the door. (1 Scene, Non-Speaking emoting fear and attachement).

Hargitay, Meloni returning to 'SVU'
Stars ink new deals for procedural's 11th season
By Nellie Andreeva
June 29, 2009
"Law & Order: SVU" will return with its two stars on board.
After on-again, off-again negotiations, Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have inked new deals to continue on the crime procedural, which is coming back in the fall for its 11th season.
Additionally, Christine Lahti has signed on to play the assistant district attorney on the veteran series for the first four episodes. Stephanie March will return after that to reprise her role as ADA Alexandra Cabot.
Sources said Hargitay and Meloni, who regularly negotiate their contracts together, have inked one-year deals with an option for a second year.
Despite the conglomerates and particularly NBC Universal being in cost-cutting mode, Hargitay and Meloni are said to have boosted their most recent salaries of about $385,000 an episode. In a rare feat for show talent, they have been able to negotiate a piece of "SVU's" lucrative back end, sources said.
Taking all into account, Hargitay's and Meloni's paychecks are expected to grow to more than $400,000 an episode, solidifying Hargitay's position as the highest-paid woman in television and Meloni as one of the top male earners.
All parties involved declined Monday to comment on the terms of the agreement.
Hargitay and Meloni's deals come more than a month after NBC closed a deal with Wolf Films for "SVU's" renewal. At the time, NBC brass said the show would return with or without its stars as the networks and reps for the actors had reached an impasse.
The two sides resumed talks at the beginning of June and, after a series of sessions, the deals were finalized last week.
Crime procedurals are more resilient than character dramas in replacing leads, but losing both Hargitay and Meloni, considered the heart of the show, was a potential big blow to "SVU."
Hargitay is repped by Paradigm. Meloni is repped by Gersh.

$1,468.80 CELL PHONE BILL IS BS!!! VERIZON IS ABOUT TO GET KICKED TO THE CURB BY ME!!!

Verizon is about to lose my business. They are refusing to credit my account for an over-billing of my data plan!!! The data plan was accidentally dropped and they do not want to back date the bill to include all the previous month's charges in the $29.99 unlimited package which I currently have. My contract expires with Verizon at the beginning of August. If they don't reverse these charges - AT&T and the iPhone are just a few weeks away!!!

Madonna Pays Tribute To Michael Jackson During Her First Show in London
July 5, 2009
Madonna thrilled fans in London on Saturday night by performing a medley of Michael Jackson's hits at the O2 Arena - just a week before the late legend was due to grace the same stage.
The pop superstar restarted her Sticky & Sweet world tour in the British capital but stopped the show to give her own personal tribute to Jackson, who passed away in Los Angeles last week.
The Material Girl recently confirmed that she planned to perform with Jackson at one of his 50 comeback concerts, which were due to kick off on July 13.
Madonna halted the gig halfway through while iconic images of the tragic star flashed up on screens behind her.
As the beat to Jackson's classic hit "Billie Jean" was pumped into the arena, one of her dancers, dressed in the King of Pop's trademark black and white with a wide-brimmed hat and white gloves, began performing Jackson's most famous moves - including moonwalking across the stage.
The song turned into a medley with another classic Jackson hit, "Wanna Be Startin' Something", much to the delight of the London crowd.
Madonna told the audience, "Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known - Michael Jackson!"
Later in the gig, the lyrics to Jackson's hit track "Man in the Mirror" were flashed up on screen as Madonna took to the stage wearing a black armband and a single white glove - in honor of the late music legend. In an interview before the concert, the star expressed her shock over the sudden passing of her friend -- and explained her onstage tribute.
She says, "I am so terribly sad about Michael Jackson's death. I don't know what artist wasn't inspired by him.
"I chose 'Billie Jean' (to perform at the O2) because it's instantly recognizable.
"Kento, my dancer, was obsessed with Michael all his life. And when Michael was having auditions for his tour, Kento really wanted to go but he'd already made a commitment to me. So now he's about to have his moment and be Michael at my show."
A final tribute to the late Michael Jackson came in the show's final number - "Give It 2 Me".

Wild Track, Wild Sound, Wild Lines

Wild track
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Wild track, also known as wild sound and wild lines, is an audio recording intended to be synchronized with film or video but recorded separately. Generally, the term "wild track" refers to sound recorded on location, such as sound effects gathered when the cameras were not rolling or extra takes of lines performed for audio only.
[edit] Reasons to record wild track
* When only the sound is needed, not the image; for example, recording a scream that will be heard off-camera.
* When it is impossible to get good sound and video in the same take; for example, when actors are in a situation (such as the middle of a field in wide shot) that makes boom recording impractical and no wireless mics are available.
* When a take was good visually but there was a sound disturbance, and repeating the entire take is impractical.
* To obtain room tone (the background noise of a location) which is necessary for post-production sound editing.
Note that wild track is considered something of a "cheapie" solution to these problems, and a big-budget production is more likely to use studio-recorded sound in these situations, as its quality is more controllable and predictable than wild track.
[edit] Procedures related to wild track
* Dubbing, Automated Dialogue Replacement, in which actors read their lines in a studio setting to match lip movements already filmed.
* Voiceover, in which a voice track is used but not synchronized with onscreen action.
* Foley, in which sound effects are created in a studio.
* Scratch track, a temporary sound recording intended to be replaced later

CNN
(CNN) -- A sailor found dead earlier this week at California's Camp Pendleton was shot while standing sentry, and a fire was set in an attempt to cover up evidence, the U.S. Navy said.
The death of Seaman August Provost of Houston, Texas, is being investigated as a homicide, Capt. Matt Brown told reporters on Thursday. A sailor is in custody in the case, Brown said.
Although at least one of Provost's relatives said she believes he was killed because of his sexual orientation and his race, Brown said there was no indication the killing was a hate crime. A U.S. congressman also said on Friday there are indications Provost may have been killed because of his sexual orientation.
Provost was killed while he was standing guard as a sentry for the Assault Craft Unit 5 compound at Camp Pendleton, Brown said. He had begun the shift at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, and his body was discovered by his replacement around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
"Preliminarily, it appears that Seaman Provost suffered gunshot wounds and it appears that someone attempted to destroy evidence by lighting a fire at Seaman Provost's assigned place of duty," Brown said.
Provost's aunt, Rose Roy, of Beaumont, Texas, said by telephone on Friday that her nephew had told her he was being harassed because of his sexual orientation and because he was African-American. She described him as bisexual.
"He mentioned it to me and a couple other family members," she said of the harassment, and said he had first told her about it sometime last year.
"He was frustrated by it," she said. She said she had advised him to speak to someone of higher rank, but said she wasn't sure if he had done so.
"He went to serve and protect, but he didn't get the protection," she said. Brown said Thursday that he had no information on claims of harassment.
Asked whether she believed her nephew was killed because of race and sexual orientation, she said, "In my heart, I do." She added, "it was like an execution-style killing, and nobody does that unless you have that kind of hatred in your heart."
The Navy has one sailor in custody who "has been linked to the commission of this crime through both physical evidence and his own statement," Brown said.
He did not identify the sailor, who has not been charged with wrongdoing. It is unclear if the sailor served with Provost in the same unit.
A second sailor whom authorities initially questioned has since been released, Brown said.
He said the Navy has no indication that Provost's death is a hate crime, although he emphasized the investigation is ongoing.
"What I can tell you, unequivocally at this point, based on the preliminary information that we have, is that regardless of the person standing watch in that sentry station, this crime would have most likely been carried out in the same way," he said.
"In other words, another sailor could have been on that post and would have been the victim of this crime."
Rep. Bob Filner, a California Democrat, has called for a full and transparent investigation. Asked Friday if Provost was killed because of his sexual orientation, he said, "There are indications that that's the case. His family says he was harassed."
Filner said he was on Camp Pendleton hours after Provost's body was found, although no one told him of the killing.
"When I was on the base for another event, the commander of the base was sitting next to me and never mentioned a word, which I find very strange," he said.
He said he was asking for the "truth of what happened."
"We're going to ask, if I may coin a phrase, and we hope that they tell," he said.
Roy said her nephew was "a good kid," who didn't have a "bad bone in his body" and had loved the Navy. He joined the service in March 2008, according to Brown.
"He was a people person," Roy said. "If he could give you the shirt off his back, he would."
A funeral has been planned for July 10 in Houston, she said.
"We loved him dearly," she said.

Leather Jacket Love Story
This is a clip from the first movie I ever did. Someone posted the ENTIRE movie on YouTube and it's still up. I'm surprised because there's a LOT of nudity in this movie.
I edited the clip I was in and made it PG-13 so I can post.

Leather Jacket Love Story
Genuine Characters Inhabit Outrageous 'Leather' World
By KEVIN THOMAS
LA TIMES STAFF WRITER

Friday May 22, 1998
David DeCoteau's "Leather Jacket Love Story" could well be the sunniest gay movie ever made, yet it is also genuinely poignant. It's campy, raunchy and funny as well, glowing with an unabashed gay sensibility. It's no less perceptive for having been made with a light touch and an ear for broad humor and has an easy, graceful style heightened by Howard Wexler's beautifully modulated black-and-white cinematography.
An aspiring 18-year-old poet, a towheaded Valley boy named Kyle (Sean Tataryn), decides to take an apartment in Silver Lake for the summer before enrolling in UCLA in the fall. He's gotten tired of hanging out with his best friend Ian (Geoffrey Moody), a determined hedonist with a house in the hills with a pool populated by a revolving door of "Chads and Brads," well-built guys who swim in the nude. Ian thinks Kyle is crazy to forsake West Hollywood sex and glitz for Silver Lake bohemia, but Kyle is serious about his poetry.
Kyle is drawn to a local coffee shop, a magnet for drag divas and a site for poetry readings hosted by none other than "Pink Flamingos' " Mink Stole. One day Kyle is transfixed when in walks a good-looking man in a leather jacket, having arrived on a motorcycle, natch. The newcomer spots Kyle staring at him, and in turn likes what he sees.
He's Mike (Christopher Bradley), a 29-year-old carpenter and roofer in a seven-year partnership, now more professional than romantic, with Sam (Hector Mercado). Mike is a hunky, easygoing guy who effortlessly sweeps Kyle off his feet.
*
Writer Rondo Mieczkowski and DeCoteau know exactly what they're doing and where they're going with their blithe romantic fantasy. Their romance is as tender as it is hot, and the filmmakers could not be more deft in steering it in a credible direction. They know how to camp it up and take sex right to the edge of hard core, but they also know how to be subtle and sensitive in depicting Kyle and Mike's relationship.
Most important, perhaps, is that the filmmakers are inclusive. In their gay world there's room for young guys like Kyle, older guys like Sam (about to celebrate his 40th birthday) and leather types like Mike. At a poetry reading there's pioneer gay rights activist Morris Kight, amusing as a grumpy poet. And then there are the local divas--Madame Dish (Stephen J. McCarthy), Erin Krystle, Craig Olsen, Momma (Worthie Meacham), Daniel Escobar, Ruby Tuesday and Moist Towelette--on hand to dispatch gay bashers, dispense bitchy humor and not a little wisdom besides.
The best advice to Kyle comes from a middle-aged poet (Nicholas Worth, in a stylishly theatrical turn) who reminds the youth that he needs to write about what he knows--and what he needs to know most is love.
Amid much that's deliberately and delightfully outrageous, DeCoteau directs Tataryn and Bradley toward giving legitimate, winning portrayals. "Leather Jacket Love Story" may be a fantasy, a crowd-pleaser with lots of laughs, but Kyle and Mike are for real.

'Leather Jacket Love Story'; Directed by David DeCoteau; Not rated; 85 minutes

Can Kyle (Sean Tataryn), a dewy and tow-headed 18-year-old poet from Sherman Oaks, find true love in the arms of Mike (Christopher Bradley), a well-traveled 30-year-old carpenter in a black leather jacket who scorns what he calls ''vanilla sex'' (any coupling not involving handcuffs and other heavy-duty hardware)? That's the question hanging breathlessly over ''Leather Jacket Love Story,'' the movie equivalent of a gay romance novel that opens today at the Quad Cinemas (13th Street, west of Fifth Avenue, in Greenwich Village).
Filmed in gay clubs and neighborhoods in Los Angeles, the black-and-white film has moments that border on hard-core pornography without actually going over the edge. Under Mike's affectionate guidance, Kyle buys his first black leather jacket and has one of his nipples pierced. The movie, directed by David DeCoteau from a screenplay by Rondo Mieczkowski that strains for its jokes, includes a sassy Greek chorus of wisecracking drag queens, three of whom band together to rescue Kyle when he is menaced on the street by a gang of gay bashers.
By the end of the amateurish but energetically frothy movie, Kyle has grown significantly as a poet. Instead of churning out tortured images of the pitiless stars looking down from heaven, he makes his poetry-reading debut in a coffee house with verses exalting the aroma of Mike's leather jacket. And Mike seems to reform his wayward ways, at least temporarily. He ostentatiously tears up the telephone number of a man he has just picked up on the street and takes Kyle in his arms for some very vanilla-flavored smooches. STEPHEN HOLDEN

ALERT VIEWER LEATHER JACKET LOVE STORY: Romantic comedy. Starring Sean Tataryn and Christopher Bradley. Directed by David DeCoteau. (Not rated. 85 minutes. At the Lumiere.)
The contrasting worlds of drag queens and leather queens in L.A.'s Silverlake district form the background for ``Leather Jacket Love Story,'' a lightweight -- not the same thing as lighthearted -- gay comedy that opens today at the Lumiere.
The drag performances in particular run hot and cold, which pretty much sums up the film. It is by no means the romp the bouncy soundtrack intends to signal it as.
The tone of the comedy has a slight satirical edge that doesn't go far enough in this story of a good- hearted 18-year-old innocent named Kyle (Sean Tataryn) who desires a life of monogamous bliss after an all-night stand with a 30ish biker (Christopher Bradley).
Kyle calls himself a poet but is so sappy, as his poetry confirms, that it's hard to imagine him holding anyone's attention for long, either Mike the biker's (Bradley) or the audience's.
A couple of unfunny drag queens stop the action cold every time they open their mouths, but another trio of cross-dressers (Erin Krystle, Craig Olsen and Mink Stole) shows up regularly as a kind of Greek chorus, if you catch my drift, and make up for their sisters.
There is a lot more nudity than anyone might expect in a film like this, an otherwise modest affair in black and white. Bradley has presence and can deliver a line and benefits from the exposure he gets.

MADONNA'S NEW TOUR OPENING VIDEO - "GREEN PINK CAVIER" by Marilyn Minter
Madonna fans heading to the latest leg of her Sticky & Sweet tour, which kicks back off in London on Saturday, are in for a surprise. The opening song, “Candyshop,” will be performed under a pair of giant luscious, pink lips licking and sucking on sparkly gold, orange, silver and green goo. The nine-minute video, titled “Green Pink Caviar,” is a new addition to the tour courtesy of artist Marilyn Minter, whose photographic work is in Madonna’s personal collection. “When I heard Madonna might be interested [in the video], I said, ‘Wow, how much does she want me to pay her?’” laughs Minter, who was initially told it was too late to insert anything into the tour. Apparently it was too good to resist and became part of the show.
“Then [Madonna] actually paid me a bunch of money and sent tickets,” said Minter, who is on her way to the U.K. for her first-ever Madonna concert to see her video in action.
Minter-watchers will recognize the short as a movie “trailer” that played at the Sunshine Cinemas and on a Times Square screen earlier this year. It will also feature on two large screens in Los Angeles when Minter’s next show opens at Regen Projects on Oct. 24.
#MrsSlocombesPussy
#MrsSlocombesPussy was trending last night on Twitter.
I had no idea why until I went to YouTube and #MrsSlocombesPussy showed up there.
Now - while I do feel badly about Molly Sugden and Mrs. Slocombes I feel EVEN WORSE for #MrsSlocombesPussy!!! Who is going to take care of #MrsSlocombesPussy now and attend to its needs???
The story of #MrsSlocombesPussy is very tragic indeed and I will not stop discussing #MrsSlocombesPussy for some time to come.
